As usual it's been a long time since I posted anything... mainly because my evil job sucks up 90 % of my time, energy, and soul. But things have been a little easier lately so I've renewed my efforts to do anything creative. And towards this end I went out and bought myself a shiny new camera! I had an old Samsung GX10 DSLR lying around my room collecting dust, and I wondered why I didn't use it more often... and figured it had something to do with it's inconveniently large size. I've been eyeing those new Sony compact DSLRs lately and finally decided that I absolutely had to have one! I really wanted the NEX7 but that was a little out o

So, as usual I've been very absent on DA lately.... thanks mainly to my horrible work schedule. It's been absolutely terrible the past few months... I've been pushing 80+ hours a WEEK. Bah! It's totally zapped whatever shred of artistic creativity that I might have had left. I haven't even been gaming... everytime I would go to login or pick up a controller I'd end up just putting it back down, since I knew I wouldn't have enough time to actually enjoy the game. Besides who else is online at 9am when I get off work??? No one. Anyway... it finally seems like work MIGHT be going back to a "normal" close to 40 hours a week schedule, so I

I just returned from a vacation across Oregon. Went From Mt. Hood through Portland and across to the Ocean. Lots of awesome waterfalls and sights at the mountain not to mention miles and miles of hiking. Saw both the Japanese garden and Chinese Gardens in Portland. I recommend both although the Japanese garden was much larger and picturesque, the Chinese garden had tours and was a nice quick stop in the middle of the city. Cannon beach was awesome, really great sights, cliffs going right into the ocean, and large old growth forests too. Had a nice place to stay right on the water so it made for a great time. Plus there were a lot of go

Oh! I remember you! O.o you did that tree photo XD and i think you did the digital painting...
haha yeah that's me, and you're welcome! thanks for the favs you gave me and for watching!
Thank you so much for the +watch! I appreciate the support.
And thank you for the awesome art you put up, especially the lineart! Several of yours are on my todo list. I love the Power in a Bottle pic you did, looks so good! makes me want to actually take an art class or at least learn how to use photoshop =p
hahaha, well thank you, that's an awesome compliment, and I appreciate it! I have to say though I've been in art school for a year and I haven't had a single class even touch Photoshop. I've self taught myself digital painting over the last 8 or so years. But what art school has given me is much better understanding of anatomy, proportions, composition, light and space.

Even if you can't take an art class, I would highly recommend doing some figure/life drawing in your free time. It's extremely helpful!

Thank you so much again for the comment, it made me smile and that's a nice way to start the day, no? :)
